Rai Rakang. A tranquil Chiang Rai getaway.

Rai Rakang is a small coffee plantation situated on the outskirts of the village of Ban Haui Sak , 15 minutes drive south of Thailand ’s far-northern city of Chiang Rai . (Or half an hour from Chiang Rai International Airport .)

There are two guesthouses on Rai Rakang; Baan Ling and Baan Chang.

Baan Ling.

The smaller Baan Ling guesthouse is located in the refurbished original farmer’s cottage and is furnished predominantly with Burmese colonial furniture.

The view from Baan Ling’s sala overlooks the nearby lake and, with its backdrop of mountains, beautiful sunsets often obligingly appearing around gin and tonic time.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. There is a kitchen and second bathroom at the rear of the house.

Baan Ling is equipped with a music system, but no telephone or television.

Baan Chang.

The larger Baan Chang guesthouse sits on top of the hill commanding a 360 degree view of the lake and the surrounding farmlands.

The spacious living room is furnished with mostly Thai and Burmese furniture. The bedroom features a large Chinese canopied bed and en-suite bathroom.

Baan Chang has a music system and telephone and internet access, but no television. A large kitchen is located below the sala.

Baan Chang:

5,000 Thai Baht per night, single or double occupancy

These rates include daily American breakfast and complimentary laundry service. Please ask about accommodation, if required, for extra guests in either guesthouse.

Upon arrival and departure we provide complimentary airport transfers. For further travel around the region, we can help you organize a hire car and driver during your stay.
